There were no little green aliens though...

So here is my reward for staying up late and doing housework. It was just after midnight and I was taking out letters to put in the mailbox. I was halfway across the street when it began to get very light. It got to be as light as if it was 8:00 in the morning. I look up and coming the from the west above the Oquirrh mountains heading south was meteor traveling through the sky. These aren't the actual pictures of course, but they are similar to what I saw. It lasted only a few seconds, but it was amazing. I have never seen a meteor so close--close enough that I could actually see the fireball head and the different colors of white and orange. I wanted to share with you all--it just made my day!
